Privacy
Short version: we only set optional analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) if you click Accept, we don’t track you across sites, and we don’t ask for any personal data.
Who we are
This website is Car Size Guide (carsizeguide.com). Contact: hello@carsizeguide.com.
What we collect
- No accounts, no forms, no advertising cookies.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless: it does not set cookies or use local storage, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track you across sites; we only see aggregate figures such as page views, referrers and page-load performance. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- Only if you accept optional analytics cookies: Microsoft Clarity (see below).
- Search runs entirely in your browser; your searches are not sent to us.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). As we do not keep personal data ourselves, there is usually nothing to return.
Microsoft Clarity (optional, only with your consent)
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, we load Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used and improve it. Clarity records how you interact with pages (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and page views) as session recordings and heatmaps, and collects device and browser information and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Text you type is masked. Clarity sets first-party cookies (such as _clck and _clsk) and Microsoft cookies (such as MUID) to recognise repeat visits; these are set only after you accept. Microsoft processes this data for us as our processor and may transfer it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Our lawful basis is your consent. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement and how Clarity handles data.
Withdrawing consent: click Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page) and choose Reject. We then stop loading Clarity; you can also delete this site’s cookies in your browser. If you click Reject, Clarity is never loaded.
Changes
If we add anything that uses personal data (for example analytics or advertising) we will update this page first.
